Getting To Bouma

    The Bouma National Heritage Park is located on the island of Taveuni, Fiji.  There are Two ways of getting to Taveuni from Nadi.  The first is to book a flight from Nadi airport through Suva airport (Nausori) to Taveuni's, Matei airport, or from Nadi through Savusavu airport in Vanua Levu, to Taveuni.  Either of Fiji's two airlines can provide you with air transfers, Air Fiji, or Sun Air.  

    The second travel itinerary requires land transport (Bus, Taxi, Resort Vehicle)  from Nadi to Suva, where you can book a boat transfer to Taveuni.  There are 2 large Boats which together provide regular  service out to Taveuni.  ( Patterson Brother's - The Suilaven, & Consort Shipping - SOFI)  Boat transfers to Taveuni from Suva can take up to 19 hours (over night) and are offered in either 1st class, Economy, or Cabin rates.  Please see the table below for contact numbers and available schedules.

    Once on Taveuni you can either hire a taxi to get around or rely on the local bus system which runs from the Waiyevo to Lavena 3 to 4 times a day, depending on the day.  (see Schedule below).
